The Republic of Uzbekistan is interested in strengthening economic ties with the Kurgan region. Issues of cooperation and implementation of joint investment projects were discussed by Governor Vadim Shumkov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov on August 17.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan was interested in the possibilities of opening industrial enterprises on the territory of industrial parks and TOSERS, cooperation in the production of products for oil refining, mechanical engineering, agriculture, the creation of a logistics center, which, taking into account the favorable location of the Kurgan region, developed transport infrastructure, can give access to the markets of large regions of the Ural Federal District.
Vadim Shumkov spoke about the preferences that the region provides to investors, in particular, significant tax benefits that residents of the territories of advanced socio-economic development "Vargashi", "Dalmatovo", "Kataysk" receive, the opportunity to deploy production on ready-made sites of industrial parks with connection to all necessary networks in a short time. In addition to these opportunities, the region offers financial support tools.
"We are already building the fifth industrial park on the territory of the subject. If your entrepreneurs are ready to enter and place themselves on ready-made sites, in addition to tax benefits, we provide state support – they buy equipment, we return up to 50% of its cost to them. We also have a package of support measures for agricultural producers, " the Governor noted.
In the field of agriculture, the guests were particularly interested in the development of sheep and crop production.
"It is unlikely that we will be able to grow such wheat as in the Kurgan region, with a good gluten content. Sheep farming is also a very interesting offer. We have a very large import of meat, because there are big problems with the feed base, so we buy a lot of it, " Botirjon Asadov said.
Vadim Shumkov instructed the relevant departments to provide proposals for these segments of the agro-industrial complex, stressing that the Kurgan region has hundreds of thousands of hectares of free pastures of unused arable land, which is being gradually put into circulation.
